The Digital Assembly is a major annual forum that brings together more than 1000 stakeholders and high-level policymakers who gather to discuss EU's digital policy and the consequences of the latest technological developments.
This year's edition came at a crucial time as the European Council called for the full implementation of the Digital Single Market Strategy by 2018, while, in the meantime, the next Multiannual Financial Framework is being discussed. Part of the future EU long-term budget will be used to bridge the gap between Member States in terms of digital investmentand and will address the challenges in key areas of the digital economy.
A large number of European citizens and companies are expected to benefit from this process.
On the closing day of the Assembly, the Digital Champion of Bulgaria and the founder of the Digital National Coalition, Mrs. Gergana Passy, joined the panel "Digital Skills for a Competitive and Inclusive European Economy" as a moderator.
