On November 11-12, the most challenging technological competition - Music Hackathon - will be held for the second time in Bulgaria, at the National Music Academy. It is a competition for innovative people who love music and technologies and who love solving challenges. The competition - organized by EdoutexFlag in partnership with Monthly Music Hackathon, New York City - aims to be a source of innovation and a source of synergy between music and technology. The first competition was attended by over 100 participants and curious visitors. The registered participants were nearly 80 while the developed projects that managed to impress everyone were 12. Participants from various countries such as the United States, Greece, Portugal, India, Spain and Brazil all joined the Hackathon.
On November 11 -12, the teams will have 48 hours to create, finalize and present projects and technological solutions in five categories: Musical Education, Music Technologies and Applications, Intelligent City, Music and Robots, Music Mobile Games and Music, Mathematics and Science. There are no age limits or participation fees. A winning team will be selected for each of the following categories: People, Inspiration, Use of Technology, IT sound; the biggest prize of the whole competition will be for the winner of the Music Vision category. Prizes of over 7000 levs will be given to the winning teams of the second Musical Hackathon in Bulgaria. All participants should expect a lot of surprises. The prizes are provided by the sponsoring organizations UBISOFT, FL Studio12, Eurocom, Electronics Group, Native-Instruments, MakSoft, Mig7Studio, Drooble and the special partners of the competition - HSMU, Softuny, Musician, The European Association of Folklore Festivals and Sofia Municipality. We are expecting a lot of surprises both at the opening of the competition on November 11, which will take place in the official Concert Hall of the National Musical Academy and on November 12, when the teams will present their INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGY PROJECTS FOR MUSIC; the projects will be presented before a jury and will compete for the biggest prize in the MUSIC VISION category.
