Sofia, October 26, 2017 - The first edition of the Digital Unconference Sofia 1.0 took place in Sofia Tech Park and attracted more than 1200 participants, over 40 lecturers and over 20 partners who debated together on topics such as technology, innovation and trends.
The conference was hig
hly successful and even though its main focus was on digital technologies, it attracted participants from not only the IT community in the country, but from other communities as well. E-government, digital media, citizenship, finance, education were just some of the topics of the (non) conference sessions. The sessions were created in way to stimulate an active dialogue between the participants and the official guests, including Maria Gabriel, Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Society , President Rosen Plevneliev, Lilyana Pavlova - Minister of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council , Rosen Zhelyazkov, Chairman of the State Agency “Electronic Governance”.The main themes of the sessions were summarized and submitted to Mrs Gabriel in order to optimize the policy of the European digital society. The Digital UnConference Sofia 1.0 was organized by the Digital National Coalition (DNA) in partnership with Mastercard, Telelink, Cisco, Microsoft, Dell EMC, Google, Vivacom, IBM, GSMA, ETNO, Novartis and Future Solutions Foundation.
