It is our pleasure to share with you the wonderful initiative, which will take place for the first time in Bulgaria, on which DNA is a partner- European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (eJOI).
The first edition of the Olympiad will take place in the period 7-13 September 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria in Innovation center „John Atanasoff ‘’, Sofia Tech Park. The registered number of participants is 100 from 23 countries- members of the EU, potential candidate countries for EU Membership and countries members of the European Council. The rules and program of the tournament are complied with those of the International Olympiad in Informatics.
Initiators of the forthcoming first European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (eJOI) are prof. Krassimir Manev, president of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), PhD Biserka Yovcheva, A&B School of Informatics in the city of Shumen, Alexey Hristov, Chairman of the management Board of The Natural Sciences Olympic Teams Association and Elena Marinova, Chairman of the Development Board of the Leaders of the Natural Sciences Olympic Teams Association and President of Musala Soft.
The competition will take place in the period 7-13 September 2017 in Sofia, Bulgaria. It will be held under the patronage of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, Tibor Navracsics, European Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport and Maria Gabriel, European Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society. The Olympiad is also endorsed by the Bulgarian members of the European Parliament. The Olympiad will follow the rules and standards of the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).
On this solid base of organization and participation in international competitions, the first European Junior Olympiad in Informatics (еJOI) will take place in the period 7-13 September 2017. It will unite young talents aged up to 15,5 years from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Estonia, Cyprus, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russian Federation, Slovenia, Serbia, Ukraine, Hungary, France and Croatia.
