Gergana Passy

Gergana Passy is acting in accordance with the Statue and the Memorandum.

Gergana Passy is an ambassador of the new technologies since 2012 and founder of the Digital National Alliance, also founder and president of PanEuropa Bulgaria, Vice President of the International Pan-European Union(2004-2009), EU Minister of Bulgaria(2007-2009), Deputy Foreign Minister in two Governments (2004-2005 and 2005-2007), and Member of Parliament in two Legislations (2001-2004 and 2005).

Gergana Passy is a key participant in the preparation of Bulgaria in becoming a full member of the European Union. She is the first EU Minister of Bulgaria.

Peter Kenderov

Acad. Peter Kenderov is one of the most esteemed Bulgarian scientists and mathematicians. He was born in 1943. His entire career in science is connected with the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics. BAN (Bulgarian Academy of Science, BAS), he was also the Director of the Academy. He is one of the organizers of the First international informatics contest for students. He was the president of the International federation for mathematical contests located in Canberra. He was chairman of the international foundation” St. St. Cyril and Methodius”, Director of the Bulgarian Mathematics Union. Adviser of the Director of BAS on educational matters.

George Mihov

Professor George Mihov is Chancellor of the Technical University Sofia. The main areas of his teaching and scientific expertise are digital electronics, microprocessor’s schematics, digital electronic devices diagnostic, industrial controllers, and operational systems. He is the Scientific Secretary of SNS “Electronic and Computer devices” in VAAK (2004-2010), member of the Scientific Counsel in the Institute of Biophysical and Biomedical Engineering in BSA (from 2010) and member of the SUB (Biomedical engineering section)

Dimitar Birov

Dimitar Birov is the functioning Chancellor in the fields of information technology, electronic management and information security. Dimitar Birov is an Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics of Sofia University” St. Kliment Ohridski”. He has long- term experience as a researcher, tutor, lecturer, project manager in Sofia University, University College Dublin, Ireland; University of Orleans, France, Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, USA,  Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh, USA and others. He has long-term practical experience in the software industry as a software designer, software architect, consultant and CEO. He is an inventor and a Microsoft US Patent holder. His research interest belongs to the fields of the software technology,  software architecture, software ecosystems, programming

Antony Slavinski

Graduated from the Technical University of Sofia with a major in radio engineering. Until 1992 he works in the Scientific Institute of Communications, in which he reaches the position of senior associate. In 1991 he becomes a member of the Democratic Party. In 1992 he enters the Board of Directors of BTK, he manages various professional teams in international projects and most of all - the project DON financed from SB, EBVR and EIB.

From 1995 to 1996 he works as an independent consultant. At the beginning of 1997,  he becomes Director of the Postal and Telecommunications Committee until he is appointed as Minister of Transport and Communications in 1999. He remains at that position until 2001.In June 1998 he is awarded with the special prize of the “International Data Group” for his distinguished contribution to  the Bulgarian Telecommunications. He becomes a member in 1994 and in 2001 he becomes President of the Board of Trustees of NBU (New Bulgarian University). In 2000 he becomes chairman of NBU. In 2002 he becomes President of the Board of Directors of the Telecommunications Association.

Peter Ivanov

Peter Ivanov is the  founder and managing partner of the firm Solytron SD since 1991- for over 24 years. The firm is one of the first in the IT sector in Bulgaria and remains one of the top firms at the IT market.

Peter Ivanov has graduated from Sofia University with a major in Mathematics, his specialty is Functional Analysis. During his time in the University (1986-1998) he is a programmer in LASO-Laboratory for Automatic Systems in the Educations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of BAIT in the period 2001-2003 and 2011-2013. He is the President of the Board of Directors of BAIT from 2013. Solytron is long-term distributor to more than 30 worldwide IT brands. The firm is ranked third in the income rating of Computerworld for 2013, Top 100 in the ICT Industry and can be seen as a company who has had a two-digit expand in the income, for 3 years in a row. “Capital 100” positions Solytron among the first 30 firms in Bulgaria, with the highest income in the rating of the biggest firms and

George Brashnarov

George Brashnarov is the founder and long-term President (2007-2014) of BASSCOM (Bulgarian Association of Software Companies). At the moment Mr. Brashnarov is Vice President of the European Association of the small and medium-sized IT enterprises (PIN-SME) and member of the Management Board of the Bulgarian ICT Cluster and SouthEast Europe ICT Board. He is the major shareholder and manager of one of the top software companies in the country entitled “Nemetschek Bulgaria”. The expert has 25 years experience in the development of software decisions, from which he spends the last 10 years on projects outside Bulgaria. He has specializations/fellowships in  England, Germany, USA, Japan and others.

Peter Statev

Peter Statev is Vice President of ETSI, European Institute of  Telecommunication Standards. He is the  co-founder and President of the Management Board of the Association of the Business Clusters. But above all, he is a successful entrepreneur in the ICT sector and president of the Administrative Board of Smartcom Bulgaria AD - the leading company for development and integration of the telecommunications systems which is the most innovative enterprise according to the “Sixth Bulgarian National Innovation Forum 2010”. Mr. Statev is a certified graduate of the Technical University of Sofia with a master’s degree in telecommunications.

Peter Sharkov

Peter Sharkov is the  President and Co-founder of Start it Smart, as well as the founder of the first Pre-Accelarator in South East Europe, called Start it Smart/Pre-Accelarator. The program provides all the necessary knowledge, skills and resources, which will be essential for the preparation of a Startup for the next step, which is entering the accelerator, finding an investor or a direct placement in the market. Peter Sharkov is actively and passionately developing the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Bulgaria with various projects. He is helping younger people to believe in their talent and their strength so they can start their own business.

Hristo Beloev

Corresponding member Professor Hristo Beloev has graduated from the University of Ruse, first of his class in 1984. During 2002 he is awarded the title of Assist. Professor and in 2009 the title of Professor. In 1997 he defends his dissertation in PhD and becomes a doctor. In 2008 he is elected as a corresponding member of BSA. He is the chancellor of the University of Ruse from 2007. He is the Doctor Honoris Causa of four universities in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania and Russia. Furthermore he is a Honorary citizen of the city of Ruse, Razgrad and Pavlikeni. He has multiple awards from Bulgarian and foreign organizations. He is the Vice President of the Council of Chancellors of the Bulgarian Republic and the President and member of Management Boards of many Bulgarian and foreign organizations.
